So I actually have 2 blogs to make up! My bad!
On Monday, We started to paint in our workshop with Luke. And can I just say it looks A LOT easier than it is. We went straight to paint with the drawing, we didn't ever draw it out in pencil which isn't something i'm very comfortable with because I like being able to correct my mistakes. The power to erase my mistakes is something I like to have, but I feel like im starting to become a bit too dependent on it. I want to try drawing with mediums where I dont really have the choice of going back and fixing my mistakes so I can get more confident in the lines I make. So this workshop so far has been really helping me with that because I can fix my mistakes but I'm making my lines beter and trying to get them right on the first try.
On Wednesday, we had our second Jim Bonni workshop and things went pretty much the same as the first time around. While we were standing around in a circle and reading lines from a song a lot of people broke down crying and couldn't get through the line but I did it perfectly fine, so fine that Jim made me read it again trying to get me to feel something or show some real emotion and I couldn't do it, so I kind of tried to sound sadder... I don't know the workshops still not effecting me but I'm still trying to keep an open mind about it and not just shutting down and thinking it'll never work. Hopefully this week will be a bit better.
This is unrelated to the workshops, but I actually have a small acting role at PATV. Mr. Brogan asked me to audition there and I actually got the part, it's nothing major but I'm still pretty excited considering I don't really act. I'll be doing that for the next few weeks so that should keep me busy and hopefully It'll come out good so I can show you guys!
